A Hot Summer Day Essay for Students and Children in English

January 3, 2021 by Karan

A Hot Summer Day Essay – The hottest summer months June and July create scorching heat in the afternoon. The bright sunshine and the hot waves force people to remain indoors and use fans and coolers’ service. Animals and people staying outdoors seek shelter under trees and large buildings. Perspiration and thirst are at their peak during this season. Unless there is rainfall as a surprise element, people seem to find no respite from the hot summers.

Essay on A Hot Summer Day 200 Words in English

Below we have provided a hot summer day essay, suitable for class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

In the words of Russell Baker, “Ah, summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it.” Yes, it feels like a harsh punishment to go out in summer. The sun is at the peak, and the heat seems to be unbearable. Even the early hours of a day appear to be blazing with the sun rays.

Initially, when the summer starts, the morning is pleasant and more refreshing, but as the day passes, the sun’s heat rises, heat is felt even in the morning. Trees and plants also face the severity of the weather as they appear dull and flowers wither quickly.

The day gets hotter as it makes headway and is the most challenging time of the day. People who work on the field particularly face the wrath of the sun. Farmers suffer from dehydration and skin irritation the most. The streets, markets etc. present a deserted view and people prefer staying inside their houses during day time.

The ones who move out for work or shopping cover themselves with thick clothes to protect themselves from the scorching heat. Sunglasses, loose-fitting garments, cotton fabric, is seen everywhere. Rooms are made more chill with the help of air conditioners and air coolers. If an individual stays away from the AC for even a short period, he/she starts sweating profusely.

Animals hid under the ground or in the dense trees to escape from the extreme heat. In rural areas, buffaloes are seen neck-deep sunk into the ponds and streams. Moreover, the incidences of heatstroke, dehydration, skin redness are frequent because of the intense heat. The sale of cold beverages and ice-cream goes high. As the evening ascends, people come out to have fun in parks and shopping centres. It gives an entirely different picture.
