[Updated*] BITSAT 2021 Syllabus: Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics

BITSAT 2021 syllabus will be available online. It includes subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English proficiency, and logical reasoning. BITSAT examination is a university level test. BITSAT is conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. The full form of BITSAT is the Birla Institute of Technology & Science Admission Test. The examination is conducted to offer admissions to various degree programs by BITS, Pilani and its different other campuses. Qualified students of BITSAT 2021 examination will get access in engineering, pharmacy & science courses. In this article, candidates can check the details of BITSAT 2021 syllabus.

BITSAT 2021 Syllabus

BITSAT 2021 syllabus comprises subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning. Students are advised to prepare themselves from NCERT textbooks. The question paper for the entrance exam will be from CBSE NCERT syllabus of class 11th & class 12th. Students can check the subject wise syllabus in this article.

Logical Reasoning

The topics on logical reasoning include Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Series Completion, Assertion & Reason, Clocks & Calendars, Direction Sense Test, Logical Venn Diagrams, Situation Reaction Test, Statement-Arguments, Binary Logic, Verbal Reasoning, Non-verbal Reasoning, Analogy, Puzzle Test, Syllogism, Classification Test, Alphabet Test, Eligibility Test, Data Sufficiency, Theme Detection, Statement-Conclusions, Arithmetical Reasoning, Number and Letter Series, Mathematical Operations, Logical Sequence of Words, Alpha Numeric Sequence Puzzle, Inserting the Missing Character, Number, Ranking & Time Sequence, Linear and Matrix arrangement, Deriving Conclusions from Passages.

English Proficiency

The syllabus for English Proficiency topics is Synonyms, Antonyms, Conclusion, Composition, Comprehension, Word Formation, Error Correction, Theme detection, fill in the Blanks, Unseen Passages, Subject-Verb Agreement, Antonyms and Synonyms, Sentence Rearrangement, Idioms & Phrases, Passage Correction, Idioms and Phrases, Sentence Correction, Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Analogies, Syllogisms, Vocabulary, Passage Completion, Sentence Completion.

Mathematics

The syllabus for mathematics topics includes Logarithms and their properties, Sets, Relations & Functions, Matrices Determinants, Heights and Distances, Exponential series, Permutations and combinations, Binomial theorem, Pascal’s triangle, Circles, Straight lines & Pair of straight lines, Complex numbers, The fundamental theorem of algebra, Theory of Quadratic equations, Arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, Statistics.

Chemistry

The questions for chemistry part will be asked from topics like Surface Chemistry, Hydrogen and s-block elements, s-p-d and f-blocks elements, States of Matter, Atomic Structure, Thermodynamics, Physical and Chemical Equilibria, Chemical Bonding & Molecular Structure, Principles of Organic Chemistry and Hydrocarbon , Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Biological, Industrial and Environmental Chemistry, Theoretical Principles of Experimental Chemistry, Stereochemistry, Organic Compounds with Functional Groups Containing Oxygen and Nitrogen.

Physics

The physics syllabus topics include Units & Measurement, Kinematics, Newton’s Laws of Motion, Impulse and Momentum, Work and Energy, Rotational Motion, Gravitation, Mechanics of Solids and Fluids, Electromagnetic Induction, Heat and Thermodynamics, Electronic Devices, Oscillations, Optics, Waves, Current Electricity, Electrostatics, Modern Physics, Magnetic Effect of Current.

Candidates must go through the BITSAT 2021 syllabus from the official website before participating in the entrance exam. Having prior knowledge about the syllabus will aid the students in performing better in the entrance examination.
