CCB Scholarship 2022: The Combined Counselling Board (CCB) is India’s most prestigious scholarship and welfare scheme. The CCB as an entity has an association with many other colleges affiliated to UGC, AICTE, MHRD, the government of India, state government boards, etc. In these colleges, students can avail of scholarships up to 70% rebate in college admission fees. Approximately 10-20% of seat reservation is given to CCB in India’s leading/premier educational institutions. This scholarship scheme is open to SC/ST/general merit/ OBC/ minorities and economically backward classes. Eligibility for CCB Scholarship

Below we have provided Combined Counselling Board Scholarship eligibility criteria in detail.

  • This scholarship is open to courses ranging from Diploma, Medical courses, and Degree courses. More than 40 courses are eligible for availing scholarships under the CCB scheme.
  • Candidates pursuing their current degree/ diploma course are eligible to apply. They should have obtained a minimum of 50 to 60% marks in the qualifying exam.

How to Apply for CCB Scholarship 2022?

The application process followed for this scheme is unique compared to others. Students must understand the complete application process by visiting the official website and reading the guidelines. Without following the guidelines, no candidate should proceed further to enter details in the application. Below we have provided a step-wise procedure to apply for CCB Scholarship 2022

  • Visit the official website of CCB –  [www.ccbnic.in]
  • Go to the ‘Select State’ tab and select your respective state.
  • Candidates will be redirected to the CCB unit of their respective states.
  • Click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab.
  • Read all the important information presented in the portal.
  • Proceed to click on “Apply Now.”
  • Candidate has to enter details in following sections – basic details, contact details, academic details, course selection etc.
  • Read the declaration and agree to it.
  • Submit the form.
  • Take a print copy of the submitted form for future references.

Documents Required for CCB Scholarship

Unlike other scholarship schemes, candidates need not attach documents along with the online application form. There will be a separate counselling round during which candidates need to submit their documents. The list of documents is specified below:

  • Mark sheets of last qualifying examination
  • Recent passport size photographs of candidate [2 in number]
  • Counselling letter received by CCB officials.
  • Aadhaar card
  • Voter ID card
  • College ID proof
  • Income certificate/ caste certificate/ domicile certificate/ disability certificate [ wherever applicable]
  • Candidate’s bank account details.

While the candidate seeks admission at his/ her college through CCB scholarship scheme, they must present the following documents without fail:

  • CCB scholarship allotment letter
  • Original migration certificate
  • Age proof certificate
  • Mark sheets of the last exam
  • Income certificate/ caste certificate/ domicile certificate/ disability certificate [ wherever applicable]
  • Character certificate
  • Passport size photographs

CCB Scholarship Selection Process

The CCB committee shall prepare a list of candidates based on the number of applications received. Based on the merit and financial situation of the candidate, a list shall be prepared. The detailed selection procedure is explained below:

  • Applications shall be invited for CCB scholarships.
  • Candidates shall be invited for a counselling round.
  • During counseling, the candidate will be offered a college list, location, information on placements, affiliations, facilities, original fee, and discounted fee post CCB scholarship allotment, etc.
  • The candidate has to present his college choice and course from the list.
  • Take the allotment letter of your selected college from CCB.
  • Visit the college with the allotment letter, course details, and college arrival date provided to the candidate.
  • Report to college with CCB allotment letter and relevant documents.

CCB Scholarship Rewards

  • The scholarship amount shall be provided as part of the college fee during admission. Depending on the college and the course selected, a benefit amount of 1 lakh to 4 lakh rupees shall be offered by CCB.
  • The CCB and college trust shall together work out the scholarship amount to candidates.
  • Hostel fees, boarding and lodging fees to be borne by the candidate only.

1. How does CCB select colleges to provide scholarship grants?
Answer: Based on the number of parameters like coaching facilities, infrastructure, campus facilities, safety, and security aspects, the selection of colleges is made.

2. Are there any counselling charges to be borne by the candidate?
Answer: Counselling fee around INR 300 is applicable for candidates. It is a one-time non-refundable fee.

3. How much time is provided for candidates to select the college and courses?
Answer: Around 3 to 5 days are provided for candidates to select colleges and courses.

4. Where is the allotment letter available for candidates?
Answer: After the allocation of scholarships to candidates, they can go to the official website and click on “Download Allotment Letter” from the home page.

5. What is the requisite fee for CCB application and registration?
Answer: No charges are applicable for application and registration. Only counselling charges applicable.
