CMAT 2021: Exam Date, Application, Eligibility, Syllabus, Pattern

CMAT 2021: The full form of CMAT is Common Management Admission Test. CMAT is expected to be conducted in the last week of January 2021 at several exam centres across India via online mode. The CMAT entrance examination is organized by the NTA every year. It is a national entry-level examination that is carried out for admission to different management courses. Based on CMAT ratings, students will get entry to various management institutions located in the country. Using the CMAT score, over 1000 participating institutions will accept access. Applicants need to qualify for the necessary cut-off to be eligible for entry, which will be published by each participating organization. Students will also have to clear the GD & PI round that the respective institution will arrange. CMAT 2021 Application Form

Know the specifics of the CMAT 2021 Application Form in the section below:

  • The CMAT 2021 application process will start through the online mode from 18th November 2020.
  • First students will have to register by entering their valid email ID, phone number, name and other information to fill out the application form.
  • Students will obtain their login details after registration, through which students will be able to log in in the future. Students must securely maintain their login ID for future use.
  • Candidates must enter all the information carefully during registration, and complete the application correctly as no alteration would be permitted later.
  • Online registration, application filling, upload of photos (photograph & signature), application fee payment & application printing and a confirmation page will be the steps in the application process.
  • Students must take care to upload the photos according to the specified format and size during the uploading of documents.

Application Fee

CMAT’s fee payment is made via online mode with the use of debit/credit card/net banking/PayTM/UPI (up to 11:50 p.m. up to bank hours). Below the application fee for CMAT is discussed:

CMAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Students can review the eligibility requirements for the CMAT below:

  • Nationality: The applicant applying must be an Indian citizen.
  • Criteria for Age: In CMAT 2021, there is no age limit for presentation.
  • Qualification: Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any area are eligible for CMAT applications.
  • Appearing: CMAT will also be available for students who are appearing in the final year of their degree and will get the result before the start of the 2021-2022 admission session.

CMAT 2021 Exam Pattern

In the section below, students can learn full details of the CMAT Exam pattern:

  • Exam mode: The exam will take place through the online (computer-based) method.
  • Paper Length: The paper will have a duration of 3 hours.
  • Form of Questions: The paper will address objective types of questions(MCQ).
  • Total Marks: The total number of marks on paper would be 400.
  • Medium Language: The medium of language for the exam is English.
  • Marking Pattern: For one correct answer, candidates will get four marks.
  • Negative Marking: For every wrong answer, the deduction of 1 mark is mandatory.

CMAT 2021 Syllabus

The following is a detailed discussion of the CMAT Syllabus

  • Comprehension of Language: Synonyms, antonyms, vocabulary, passage reading, etc.
  • Quantitative Techniques: Time and distance, ratio and proportions, simple and compound interest, profit & loss, etc.
  • General Awareness: Current Affairs, India & the world, Awards, History, Polity & Science, etc.
  • Logical Reasoning: Number & Letter series, Seating Arrangements, Binary Logics, Venn diagram, Puzzles, Syllogisms, Blood relations, etc.

CMAT 2021 Preparation Tips

Students can review the CMAT Preparation Tips below for good exam preparation:

  • For CMAT, go through the recommended syllabus and pattern details.
  • Take the mock test and evaluate the preparations for the exam.
  • Resolve documents and sample articles from the previous year for good practice.
  • Make a schedule for studying and observe it daily.
  • Make notes of significant points and occasionally go over these notes.
  • Revision is necessary for continually checking the notes they prepare.

CMAT 2021 Admit Card

The CMAT 2021 admission card will be submitted to the website following the successful completion of the application process. By entering their login info, students will be able to download the CMAT admission card. It will publish in the first week of January 2021. On the day of the test, only students who carry a printed copy of the admission card, a photograph of the passport size, a photo ID proof, and a PWD certificate (if applicable) will be allowed to enter the examination hall. All the details will be there in the admit card, including the reporting time at the exam centre, exam centre/city, exam time, exam instructions, and other information.

CMAT 2021 Answer Key

In February 2021, NTA will publish on the website both the provisional and the final answer key of CMAT 2021. Via the CMAT Response key, candidates can estimate the probable score of the exam. Candidates will also be able to question the provisional answer key that was published. Students need to to pay a processing fee (non-refundable) of Rs.1000 for each question to challenge the answer key. The debit/credit card/net banking form can be used to pay for it. After this process, the final answer key will be available on the website.

CMAT 2021 Result

The CMAT result is released by NTA just after the release of the final answer key. It will be a compiled report based on the answer key. The actual marks received by the applicant will be considered for the preparation of the result. The authority will declare The CMAT 2021 Result in the first week of February 2021. Students will be able to download the CMAT scorecard via the website using the online mode. No scorecards will be sent to the applicants through the offline mode.

CMAT 2021 Counselling

CMAT Counselling will not be subject to a standard admission process carried out by the authority. The qualified candidates must have to take part in the selection process organized separately by the participating institutions. For different organizations, the admissions requirements can vary. To select the candidates, the participating organizations will arrange the GD and PI rounds. The candidates need to stay connected with the chosen institute To keep a check on the admission schedule announced for admission. The qualified candidates will eventually be shortlisted for their document verification round after the GD and PI rounds. With their essential documents/certificates, students must be ready.
