Colgate Scholarship – Selection Process
A total of 301 scholarships shall be awarded by Keep India Smiling Foundation for selected candidates through the official selection process every year. The detailed selection procedure consists of the following steps:
- Out of all the applications received, the Colgate – Palmolive initiated Keep India Smiling Foundation shall conduct an initial screening. They will sort out all applications and choose the ones that completely satisfy the eligibility criteria.
- The second metric of selection involves the category wise filtering of candidates. Keep India Smiling Foundation entertains candidates only from below poverty lines and economically weaker sections. Likewise, candidates belonging to higher categories shall not be selected.
- The third metric involves selecting candidates as per the parent’s annual income. Higher the income, the lower is the chances of their selection.
- Finally, among the heap of selected applicants, applications shall be arranged in the order of merit. Higher the merit, the higher the chances of selection.

Colgate Scholarship – Terms & Conditions
The Keep India Smiling Foundation lists a whole list of terms and conditions to cater to. These conditions are entirely different from the ones cited in the eligibility criteria for respective scholarships. Candidates should first satisfy the eligibility conditions and then understand the various terms and conditions too. Those candidates who satisfy both of them shall go ahead and make an application in a rightful manner. The various terms and conditions are:
- Only Indian nationals may apply.
- Candidates belonging to economically weaker sections and BPL categories may apply.
- Candidates should compulsorily upload all documents and qualify for all the eligibility conditions.
- Applications submitted shall be in the repository of the foundation, and applicant details shall not be used for any other commercial aspects or purposes of ad making by Keep India smiling foundation or Colgate-Palmolive entities.
- Merely qualifying in the eligibility criteria section does not guarantee a scholarship to the applicant.
- The entire process of selection involves time duration, as decided by the official selection committee.
- In case an applicant is not selected for this scholarship, the Keep India smiling foundation shall not communicate nor entertain any communication with regards to his/her non-selection.
- In case an applicant is shortlisted for this scholarship, the selection committee of Keep India smiling foundation shall contact the candidate for further processes.
- The scholarship tenure remains as prescribed by the committee. Any requests for further continuation or extension beyond the fixed tenure shall not be entertained.
