Digital Gujarat Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Every scheme under the Gujarat scholarship has its own set of requirements and conditions. All candidates should have a detailed look at these conditions before applying for any scholarship. Candidates who do not satisfy these conditions should stay away from making unnecessary applications in this regard. The detailed eligibility criteria with respect to this scholarship have been tabulated below for your kind reference:

  • Candidate must have achieved 80 percentile in his class 10th/ 12th
  • Candidate should be admitted either in the first year of diploma/degree course;
  • Students should have obtained 65 percentage in their diploma course
  • Also applicable to students getting admission in the first/second year of degree course;
  • Annual family income should be less than ₹ 6 Lakhs.
Scholarships to the Disabled Students
  • Candidates having disability whose percentage is more than 40%;
  • Applicable for students studying from class 1st to 12th;
  • Annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 50,000;
  • Candidate must have scored at least 40% marks in the previous examination passed;
  • Candidate should maintain consistent attendance record in his educational institution.
Post SSC Scholarship for Girls (NTDNT)
  • Applicant must be a girl student only.
  • Candidate must be studying in any of class 11th to PhD studies;
  • This scholarship is applicable only for NTDNT category students.
Post SSC Scholarships for Boys (NTDNT)
  • Applicable only for NTDNT category students
  • Candidates studying in class 11th to PhD are eligible to apply;
  • Annual income of family should be less than ₹ 1.50 Lakhs for students residing in urban areas.
  • Annual income of family should be less than ₹ 1.20 Lakhs for students residing in rural areas.
Post SSC Scholarship for Boys (SEBC)
  • Applicable for male candidates studying in class 11th till PhD level.
  • Applicable for girls too, those who are from SEBC category.
Post SSC Scholarship for Girls (SEBC)
  • Applicable for girl students only.
  • Candidates must be studying from class 11th till PhD level;
  • Applicable for SEBC category candidates only.
Food Bill Assistance to SC Students
  • Applicable for SC category students only
  • Applicable for candidates pursuing medical/engineering programs;
  • Annual income of family should be less than ₹ 2.50 Lakhs
Food Bill Assistance for Medical/Engineering Students (SEBC)
  • Applicable for SEBC students
  • Applicable for candidates pursuing Medical/Engineering program in a college that has an affiliated hostel premises too ;
  • Annual income of family should be less than ₹ 2.50 lakhs.
Educational Assistance for NTDNT Students Studying in Self-Financed College
  • Eligible students should belong to NTDNT category
  • Only those students who are doing studies in a self-financed college can apply;
  • Annual income of family should be less than ₹ 2 Lakhs.
Higher Secondary Scholarship (Minority)
  • This scholarship is applicable for minority community students only.
  • Applicable for students who are studying in class 11th and 12th.
  • The annual income of the family must compulsorily be less than ₹ 1.50 Lakhs.
Fellowship Scheme for M.Phil. and PhD Students (SEBC)
  • The students belonging to SEBC category can only apply.
  • Candidates who are pursuing a PhD or Mphil course only need to apply.
  • The annual income of family should be less than ₹ 45,760.
Swami Vivekanand Stipend Scheme for Technical and Professional Courses (NTDNT)
  • Only those students belonging to NTDNT category can apply.
  • Students pursuing a professional or technical course only need to apply.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 1.20 Lakhs for candidates from rural areas.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 1.50 Lakhs for candidates from urban areas.
Swami Vivekanand Stipend Scheme for Technical and Professional Courses (EBC)
  • The students belonging to EBC category can only apply.
  • Students pursuing professional or technical courses can only apply.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 1.20 Lakhs for candidates from rural areas.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 1.50 Lakhs for candidates from urban areas.
Swami Vivekanand Stipend Scheme for Technical and Professional Courses (Minority)
  • Only the minority community students pursuing professional or technical courses need to apply.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 1.20 Lakhs for candidates from rural areas.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 1.50 Lakhs for candidates from urban areas.
Instrumental Assistance for Medical, Engineering, Diploma Students (SEBC)
  • Applicable only for SEBC candidates studying in Medical, Engineering and Diploma courses.
  • The annual income of the family should compulsorily be less than ₹ 2.50 Lakhs.
Higher Education Scheme
  • Applicable only for students of class 11th, 12th, or those pursuing degree courses in Engineering/ Medical/ Arts/ Ayurveda/ Commerce/ Science/ Law/ Post-graduation/ Fine Arts/ Pharmacy etc.
  • The annual family income should compulsorily be less than ₹ 2.5 Lakhs.
Scholarships to SC Students for ITI/Professional Studies
  • Applicable to students belonging to SC category and only those candidates pursuing professional studies or ITI courses.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 47000 or candidates from rural areas.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 68000 for candidates from urban areas.
Post Matric Scholarship for SC Girl Students
  • Eligible for girls from SC category.
  • The annual income of the family should compulsorily be less than ₹ 2.50 Lakhs.
Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Students Post-Matric Scholarship
  • The students belonging to ST category only can apply.
  • Those students studying in class 11th up till post graduation can apply.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 2.5 Lakhs.
  • The students pursuing their studies through correspondence or distance learning or open education can also apply.
  • The student should not have failed in a particular class more than once.
Fellowship Scheme
  • The students belonging to SC/ST/SEBC and other similar categories can apply.
  • Those who are studying in class 11th till postgraduate level can apply.
  • Candidate’s minimum percentage of marks in class 10th should be 70%.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 2.5 Lakhs.
Research Scholarship
  • Applicable to Postgraduate students willing to pursue a PhD OR research programs in subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Zoology and Microbiology.
  • The age of the applicant should be less than 25 years.
  • The student should have passed BSc and M.Sc programs earlier with minimum second class grades in their relevant specializations.
Swami Vivekanand Stipend Scheme for ITI Courses
  • Students pursuing ITI courses (Streams in Technical, Diploma, Industrial and Professional) can only apply.
Scholarship for the Students of Government Colleges
  • Students studying in the field of arts/ science/ commerce only at government colleges can apply.
War Concession Scheme
  • Children of jawans/soldiers who were martyred in warfare can apply.
  • Those students who are studying in government institutions or educational establishments receiving grant-in-aid from the government can apply for this scheme.
EBC Fees Exemption Scheme
  • Only students who are presently studying at graduate level courses can apply.
  • Full scholarships will be awarded only to students who have obtained more than 60% marks in their class 12th.
  • Only half scholarships will be awarded to students who have obtained less than 60% marks in their class 12th.
  • The annual income of family should compulsorily be less than ₹ 2.50 Lakhs.
  • For renewal of scholarship, the student should further secure minimum 50% marks at his/her graduate level of studies.
Instrumental Help to SC Students (Medical Engineering, Diploma Courses)
  • The students of SC community only can apply.
  • Those who are pursuing degree in engineering, Medical or Diploma courses are eligible to apply.
  • The annual income of the family should compulsorily be less than ₹ 44,500.
Post Matric Scholarship of Government of India for the OBC Students
  • The students of OBC category only can apply.
  • Students studying in class 11th till post graduation can apply.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 1 Lakhs.
Fellowship Scheme for M.Phil. & PhD (SC) Students
  • Only SC category students can apply.
  • Those students pursuing Mphil or PhD programmes in various research areas are eligible for this scholarship.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 2 Lakhs as a mandatory rule.
Post Matric Scholarship for ST Girl Students
  • The scheme is applicable for ST girl students only.
  • It is for those female students who are pursuing a regular course only.
  • They should be doing their course from a government recognized university/institute only.
  • The annual family income should be less than ₹ 2.50 Lakhs.
Scholarship for Students Studying at Dr. Ambedkar or Indira Gandhi Open University (SEBC)
  • This scholarship is applicable for students belonging to SEBC category only.
  • Further, this scholarship is meant for students studying at Dr. Ambedkar or Indira Gandhi Open University.
Food Bill Assistance in College Attached Hostels
  • This scheme is applicable for ST community students only.
  • ST students who are pursuing only regular courses need to apply.
  • Course should be completed from government recognized college only.
  • The applicants should have an annual family income less than ₹ 2.50 Lakhs.
Higher Secondary Scholarship (SEBC)
  • Students belonging to SEBC category are permissible to apply under this scholarship.
  • Candidates should be studying in class 11th or 12th and not higher than that.
Instrumental Assistance for First-year Students of Medical/Engineering/Diploma Courses
  • Students belonging to ST community are eligible to apply.
  • Those candidates studying in the first year of Engineering, Medical or Diploma courses only can apply.
  • The annual family income of the candidate should not be more than ₹ 2.50 Lakhs.
  • This scholarship is applicable only for full-time or regular courses that are being pursued from a Government recognized college only.
Special Scholarship for Boys and Girls Students
  • Students from class 1st to 10th are eligible to apply.
  • Applicable to both boys and girls.
  • Candidates should belong to any of the below mentioned communities: Valmiki, Hadi, Nadiya, Turi, Senva, Vankar Sadhu, Garo-Garoda, Dalit-Bava, Tirgar/Tirbanda, Turi-Barot, Matang and Thori community.
  • Attendance record – Minimum 70% compulsory.

Digital Gujarat Scholarship Application Process

The entire process, as the name suggests, is digital for these scholarship schemes. Candidates who desire to apply for this scholarship should make an ONLINE application by visiting the official portal. Here is the detailed guide on how to apply for the Gujarat scholarship.

Registration

  • The first step to apply for this scholarship is candidate registration.
  • In the registration form, enter all candidate details (basic details for registration), save the entered information, and proceed.
  • After entering details in the registration form, candidates shall receive an OTP on their mobile number.
  • Enter OTP in the required filed.

Profile Updating Section

  • Next, candidates shall be directed to the profile updating page.
  • Candidates have to enter all details on this page too.
  • Upload the candidate photograph.
  • Lastly, click on the ‘UPDATE’ button.

Applying for the Scholarship  

In the following step, you have to check the kind of scholarship according to your eligibility and apply. Step by step guide to apply for the right kind of scholarship:

  • Login into the scholarship portal with the newly created registration details.
  • Scroll through the list of scholarships and apply for the one that suits your eligibility criteria.
  • Before applying for any scholarship, read through all the instructions provided against each one of them.
  • In this section, candidates have to enter all their academic details.
  • Apart from details, candidates should also upload relevant supporting documents.
  • After completion of all these steps and finally, after cross-checking details, hit the SUBMIT button.

[After ONLINE submission of the application form, candidates are required to take a hard copy print out of the same and send it by post to the concerned educational institution with supporting documents.]

List of Required Documents

Every scholarship provided in the list of scholarships demands a different set of documents provided while applying ONLINE. Candidates have to scan their relevant documents in size specified by the authorities and upload them in that specification ONLY. List of common documents to be produced

  • Caste certificate
  • Income certificate
  • Certificate of the last examination passed that is required to prove eligibility for the respective application.
  • Identity proof of candidate ( Aadhaar Card, etc.)
  • Residential/domicile certificate of the candidate
  • Bank Passbook (first page of passbook) to authenticate bank details.
