Haryana Scholarship List

Here is the comprehensive list that the state of Haryana provides to its state students. The scholarships are offered in association with contributions from many subsidiary operating units of the state government to fund them. Some of the prominent units are the Department of Higher Education, Directorate of Elementary Education, the State Council for Science and Technology, Welfare Department for Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes Department, and many more departments attached to the Haryana state government.

Haryana Scholarship 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The first and most important criterion that is common to all scholarships presented above is that only Haryana domiciled candidates can apply. No other state domiciled candidates can apply to these scholarships. Apart from the standard eligibility criteria, scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their merit, financial background that they come from, and other considerations. The detailed list of Haryana scholarship eligibility criteria is presented here in a tabulated form:

Haryana State Meritorious Incentive Scheme
  • General merit and SC students may apply.
  • First, second, and third university rank holders may apply.
  • Candidate must be enrolled n UG/PG courses in streams like Arts/science/ commerce/ educational stream etc
  • Correspondence courses not eligible.
  • Non-government colleges also not acceptable.
Merit-cum-Means Minority Scholarship Scheme
  • Minority candidates pursuing professional/ technical courses may apply.
  • Annual family income to be less than 2.5 lakhs.
Consolidated Stipend Scheme for SC Students
  • SC candidates pursuing professional/ technical courses may apply.
  • Minimum 60% attendance compulsory
Haryana State Merit Scholarship
  • 12th pass out candidates pursuing professional/ technical courses may apply.
  • Candidate must be enrolled in merit seats only.
  • Candidate should have cleared exam from any government-related Kurukshetra/ Punjab university or related exam authority.
Dr. Ambedkar Sanshodhit Medhavi Chhattar Sansodhit Yojna
  • SC/BC students from class 11th till PG can apply.
  • Annual family income to be less than INR 4 lakhs
Annusuchit Jati Chhattra Ucch Shiksha Protsahan Yojna
  • Class 12th pass outs can apply.
  • Candidate must be enrolled n UG/PG courses in streams like Arts/science/ commerce/ educational stream etc
  • Annual family income to be between INR 1 lakh to INR 2.4 lakh.
POSE Scheme (Promotion of Science Education)
  • Candidate must be 10th/12th pass outs from Haryana state board with min score of 85%
  • Candidate must be 12th pass outs from ICSE/CBSE boards with a min score of 90%
  • Students pursuing 3 years BSc/ 4 year BS or integrated courses – M.Sc/MS in pure/natural sciences may apply
  • Candidates wanting to pursue 2-year M.Sc programs in natural/basic sciences can apply. Class 10th, 12th, BSc, BA should be cleared from Haryana with min 75% score in degree.
Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC, Haryana
  • Class 11th till Ph.D. candidates can apply.
  • Annual family income for OBC/EBC students to be less than 1 lakh
  • Annual family income for DNT students to be less than 2 lakh
  • Annual family income for SC/ST students to be less than 2.50 lakh

The state government caters to the financial needs of the poor and the needy through offering these scholarships. Haryana Scholarship 2021 – FAQ’s

1. Which scheme is offered under the aegis of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan?
Answer: The provision of free books and uniforms to all categories of students from Haryana is brought under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan scheme.

2. How are students selected for the Rajiv Gandhi excellence scholarship scheme?
Answer: The previous year toppers, one girl and boy from class 6 to 8, and another girl and boy from class 8 to 12 shall be chosen for the scheme.

3. For the POSE scholarship, who should the candidate get a bonafide letter from his/her educational institution?
Answer: Students can contact the Principal/ Head of the Department/ Registrar/ Director of the institution to get the bonafide letter.

4. In the scheme Annusuchit Jati Chhattra Ucch Shiksha Protsahan Yojna, who should duly give the income certificate?
Answer: Income certificate issued by Tehsildar or Subdivision magistrate should only be produced.

5. The state government offers free books and uniforms to children of Haryana, who can apply for this scholarship?
Answer: Only girls can apply for this scheme. There is no restriction; however, in the class they belong to, and all of them may apply.
