1. Check Eligibility to crack the IPS Exam
As per nationality, you should be one of these:
- Citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who must come to India before January 1, 1962, with an intention to be permanently residing over here. Furthermore, migrating from any of the following countries for permanently residing in India is also eligible to get participated- Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, and East African countries.
As per nationality, the candidates have earned the degrees from the recognized universities or must have an equivalent qualification or a degree from a Central, State or a Deemed university or a degree from an open university, or a degree received through correspondence or distance education or have passed the final exam of ICAI, ICSI and ICWAI or have passed the final exam of the MBBS degree but have not yet completed an internship.
As per age limit: The minimum age of a candidate is 21 years while the maximum will be 30 years as on 1st of August in the year of examination. Moreover, relaxation age is provided by UPSC as well. For this, Maximum 5 years relaxation for participating come from the State of Jammu & Kashmir, Maximum 3 years relaxation for OBC candidates, Maximum 3 years relaxation for Defence Services personnel, Maximum 5 years relaxation for Ex-servicemen comprising Commissioned officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have completed at least 5 years Military Service and have been released, Maximum 10 years relaxation for the Blind, deaf-mute and Orthopaedically handicapped participants.

3. IPS Admit exam
