IISER Pune 2021: The admissions for the much coveted IISER shall be made possible through three modes – SCB, KVPY and JEE advanced exams. Indian Institute of science education and research or IISER conducts this national level exam. Through the IISER SCB aptitude test, selected candidates get a golden chance to pursue 5 year dual degree programs of BS-MS. IISER Admission 2021 Application Form

The application process for IISER admissions is explained below:

• The application form for all modes of admission into IISER will be made available in the online mode.
• For each mode, the application form shall be released on different dates.
• Among the seven IISER centres, candidates have to select their option of the preferred institution.
• Candidates need to upload passport size photo and signature in a prescribed format.
• Candidates have to provide valid and functional communication details, namely e-mail ID and contact numbers.
• Candidates can retain a copy of the submitted application form for future references.

Application Fee

• Candidates can remit application fee in online mode via credit card/ debit card and net banking.
• Fee for general category candidates is INR 2000, and for SC/ST candidates and Kashmiri migrants, the fee is reduced to INR 1000.

IISER Admission 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can follow the guidelines provided below regarding eligibility criteria:

• Indian citizens/ persons of Indian origin and overseas citizens of India can apply.
• In the KVPY mode, candidates must be in possession of a valid KVPY fellowship for the year 2021-2022.
• Candidates should also meet the prescribed cut off limits mentioned by the institutions.
• Through JEE advanced mode, candidates from general category should qualify JEE advanced 2021 and obtain ranking within 10,000 in CRL (Common Rank List). For other reserved candidates, the category ranks will be taken into account.
• For SCB mode, candidates must either be qualified with specified norms or should be appearing in 12th board exam with science as a compulsory subject. Candidates must adhere to the SCB cut off marks prescribed by the authorities to be eligible for admission. Candidates willing to obtain admission through SCB mode should attempt the IISER aptitude test 2021 compulsorily.

IISER Admission 2021 Exam Pattern

For admission into IISER institutions through SCB mode by writing aptitude test, the following exam pattern should be considered:

• IISER 2021 shall be conducted in the online CBT mode, and exam shall be conducted for 3 hours.
• Each subject shall contain 15 questions, and totally 60 questions shall appear in the exam paper.
• Every correct answer shall be awarded 3 marks, and every wrong answer shall lead to a deduction of 1 mark.

IISER Admission 2021 Syllabus

IISER aptitude test shall contain questions catering to syllabus from NCERT class 11th and 12th subjects. Candidates can refer the NCERT textbooks for PCMB subjects. Here is the brief run-through for the syllabus:

• Physics – Important topics include kinematics, motion of a system of particles and rigid bodies, waves, optics, oscillations, atoms etc.
• Chemistry – Important topics from surface chemistry, p-block elements, solid-state, electrochemistry, bio-molecules, equilibrium etc.
• Mathematics – topics include relations, functions, straight lines, matrices, vectors, 3-D geometry, integrals etc.
  Biology- topics include human and plant physiologies, reproduction, ecology, environment etc.

Candidates need to follow the given tips and tricks to achieve success in IISER admission test:

• Be thorough with the fundamental knowledge of PCMB subjects of class 11th and 12th.
• Study NCERT books mainly and supplement your preparation with other expert-recommended books.
• Prepare a strategic time table and follow study timings and subject wise flow correctly.
• Do not leave any topic untouched and cover the entire syllabus without fail.

Exam Centres

IISER aptitude test 2021 shall be conducted in different cities like Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Calicut, Delhi, Kolkata, Mohali, Mumbai, Pune, Bhopal, Baroda, Chennai, and Vijayawada, among others.

IISER Admission 2021 Admit Card

In the second week of May 2021, the admit card for IISER aptitude test 2021 shall be made available to candidates applying through SCB mode. Candidates can download their admit card in the online mode by entering valid login credentials. Important details like candidate’s name, roll number, exam centre and other instructions shall be printed on the admit card. All candidates should compulsorily carry the admit card along with a valid ID proof to the exam hall without fail.

IISER Admission 2021 Answer Key

SCB mode’s aptitude test answer keys shall be published by IISER in the first week of June 2021. Candidates can download this answer key in the online mode. Candidates can estimate their scores by comparing their performance against the published answer key. Candidates should enter their registered ID and password to obtain answer keys. The answer keys shall be printed for all questions appearing in the question paper.

IISER Admission 2021 Cut off

Cut off scores for IISER aptitude test 2021 shall be made available in the online mode. Cut off scores indicate the minimum scores required by candidates to qualify for admission. Cut off marks depend on a host of factors like a number of candidates attempting the exam, toughness level of the paper; previous year cut off marks etc. The estimated cut off range against respective boards is indicated below:

IISER Admission 2021 Result

In the first week of June 2021, candidates would be able to download IISER 2021 results in the online mode. To further obtain scorecard, candidates need to enter roll number, registered ID and password details. Only those candidates who attempted the SCB mode’s aptitude test shall be able to check their results. Result sheet shall display candidates name, roll number, marks obtained n each subject and total aggregate score.

IISER Admission 2021 Counselling

IISER 2021 counselling shall be organised in the month of June 2021 for admission through all three modes. A separate interactive web-based counselling session shall be organised for all three modes. Candidates need to adhere to reservation policies and other officially standing factors. All candidates who meet the qualifying criteria should compulsorily take part in the counselling round.
