IPU CET 2021 Eligibility is laid down by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test called IPU CET is a university level entrance exam administered by the University to grant admission into several UG & PG courses in the University & its affiliated institutes. The University handles a separate entrance test for different courses. This article discusses all the necessary information related to the IPU CET Eligibility 2021.

IPU CET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The University provides admission into various courses such as engineering, law, management, computer application. Candidates must keep the eligibility criteria in mind before filling the IPU CET 2021 Application Form. The eligibility criteria for all the courses are listed below:
Nationality
- Indian or Overseas Citizens of India or Nepal citizens are eligible to apply.
Age Criteria
- UG Courses: The candidate must be 21 years of age as on 1st August 2021.
- PG Courses: The candidate must be 35 years of age as on 1st August 2021.
Qualification Criteria
B.Tech
- Must have cleared 10+2 or equivalent exam from a sanctioned board majoring in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and English subjects with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
B.Tech (Bio-Technology)
- Must have cleared 12th (10+2 pattern) or equivalent exam from a sanctioned board majoring in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
B.Tech (Lateral Entry) (for Diploma Holders)
- Must hold a 3-year diploma in the following technology disciplines- Computer Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Plastic Engineering, Printing Technology, Production Engineering, Public Health & Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die.
- Making from any recognized branch of AICTE with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
Note: Candidates holding Diploma in Architecture cannot apply for lateral entry to Engineering/Technology degree programme.
B.Tech (Lateral Entry) (for B.Sc Graduates)
- Must hold a B.Sc degree examination majored in mathematics subject from any sanctioned university with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
M.Tech (for Computer Science & Electronic Group)
- Must hold a B.Tech/BE OR Graduation degree in IETE/AMIE OR M.Sc & MCA with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
M.Tech (Tool Engineering) (Regular)
- Must hold a B.Tech/B.E (Tool Engineering Mechanical and Automation/Production/Mechanical Production and Industrial Engineering) OR Graduation degree in AMIE (ME) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
M.Tech (Biotechnology) (Regular)
- Must hold a B.Tech/B.E (Biotechnology/ Chemical) Technology/Biochemical Engineering). OR
- MS/M.Sc (Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/ Biosciences/Genetics/Life-Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. Must hold a valid GATE scorecard.
- No CET exam.
M.Tech (Nano Science and Technology) (Regular)
- Must hold an M.Sc. (Physics/Applied Physics/ Biotechnology/ Biosciences/Electronics Mathematics/Chemistry/Life Sciences/Material Science). OR
- B.E./B.Tech (Electronics/Computer Science/Electrical Material Engineering/Information Technology/Mechanical /Engineering Physics/Metallurgy/Biotechnology/ Biomedical/Chemical Engineering or Technology) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
Note: Mathematics must be a mandatory subject in 12th, or a UG graduation is a must.
M.Tech (Engineering Physics) (Regular)
- Must hold a BE/B.Tech. (Electronics/Electrical/Engineering Physics/Information Technology/ Computer Science/Instrumentation and Control). OR
- M.Sc. in (Physics/Electronics/Applied Physics /Mathematics) with a minimum of 55% aggregate Marks.
Note: Must be majored in Physics at the undergraduate level.
M.Tech (Chemical Engineering) (Regular)
- Must hold a B.Tech/B.E in Chemical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
M.Tech (Robotics and Automation) (Regular)
- Must hold a B.Tech/BE in (Computer Science /Computer Engineering / Mechanical Engineering/Computer Science and Engineering /Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Information Technology /Mechanical and Automation Engineering /Industrial Engineering / Instrumentation and Control Engineering /Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering /Production Engineering /Automobile Engineering/Mechatronics / Manufacturing Engineering /Aerospace Engineering) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
BBA & Allied Programmes
- Must have cleared 12th or equivalent exam with mandatory subject English with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
MBA
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. OR
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. OR
- Should have cleared the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India or England or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India final exam.
MBA (Information Technology)
- Must hold a B.E/B.Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate. OR
- Hold M.Sc (CS), M. Sc (IT), M.Sc (Electronics) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. OR
- Hold an MCA with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
BCA
- Must have cleared 12th or equivalent exam with English and Mathematics or Computer Science/Informatics
Practice/Computer Applications/Multimedia & Web Technology/Data Management Application/Web Application with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. OR - Hold a 3-year diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a polytechnic approved by AICTE.
MCA
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks and must have cleared 12th with Mathematics and English as mandatory subjects. OR
- Must have cleared BCA/BIT/BIS of minimum 3-year duration with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. OR
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
MCA (Lateral Entry)
- Must hold a BCA/B.Sc (Information Technology)/ B.Sc (Computer Science) degree and must have a mandatory subject Mathematics at 12th or graduate level with a minimum aggregate of 55%.
LLB
- Must have cleared 12th or equivalent exam with English as a mandatory subject with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
LLM
- Must hold an LL.B degree approved by the Bar Council of India for Enrolment as an Advocate equivalent Law Degree from a Foreign University with a minimum of 50% marks.
