Eligibility criteria of IRTS Exam
Participants applying for the IRTS need to complete the following necessities:
- Participants with technical and professional qualifications recognised by the Government or its equivalent can also apply
- The participants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any of the recognised Universities.
- Participants who’ve regarded or to appear for the qualifying exam and are waiting for outcomes are also eligible to appear for the Preliminary Exam. For these applicants, it is recommended to have a proof showing that he/she has appeared for the said exam.
- Participants who’ve qualified the final year of MBBS or any other Medical Examination but are but still pending with their internship program can also appear for the Main Examination. Number of attempts to qualify IRTS exam
To qualify Indian Railway Traffic Service exam, the participants can try for more than one time but these are restricted as per their caste. The maximum number of attempts to qualify IRTS exam is revealed as follows:

Application form for IRTS 2019
To get registered for the Indian Railway Traffic Service or IRTS exam, the participants are requested to fill up the application form Its 2019. Since 2015, the application for the IRTS exam has been filed online only. No other mode is acceptable. Participants are cautioned to apply or submit a single application only. In any case, if more than one application is submitted, the participant must make sure that the application with higher RID (Registration ID) is complete in all respects.
While filling the Application Form, the participants should carefully determine their desire centre for the Examination. If any circumstance, candidate going to attempt or even attempted IRTS exam other than centre allotted, her/his exam will not consider eligible.
Participants are not considered to submit any additional docs in favour of their Age, Educational Qualifications, Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes and Physically disabled and so forth.
Participants who are already in Government Service, whether temporary or permanent are required to inform to their Head of Office/Department that they have applied for the Examination in a formal manner. Otherwise, their applications will suppose non-eligible and can be cancelled as well.
IRTS Exam Admit card 2019

IRTS Exam pattern and Syllabus
Every civil service exam has a different pattern, duration, and syllabus. It has been designed accordingly the vacancies available. 1. Preliminary Examination (400 Marks)
The prelims exam is also called as Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). It has two papers of 200 marks each. Both papers will be of two hours as well as set in both English and Hindi.

2. Main Examination (2025 Marks)
