Paragraph on Mothers Day: The best gift any person can get in his lifetime is the love and presence of his mother. Mothers are the sole reason that we exist. Mother’s Day is celebrated worldwide to honour and glorify mothers’ importance and for paying our respects to their daily efforts and contributions.

Short Paragraph on Mother’s Day – 100 Words

Out of all the people in our lives, mothers steal the first spot. There can be no other human being who supports us more than our mother. She is our guiding light, our pillar, and our motivation. Although every day should be celebrated as Mother’s Day, India celebrates this occasion on the second Sunday of May every year. In 2021, Mother’s day will fall on the 9th of May. This particular day is celebrated to bring extra happiness to our mothers’ faces. On this day, children try to be more kind and considerate of their mothers, to honour their roles in their lives.

Children present their mothers with gifts, cards, and roses. Some even decorate their homes with balloons and throw a small party. This day is all about mothers, and they are relieved from all the stress and chores for the day. Indeed, we would be nothing without our mothers. Our mothers are the only people who love us unconditionally and stand by us through thick and thin.

Long Paragraph Mother’s Day – 250 Words

The day to celebrate the joy of having our mothers in our lives is Mother’s Day. It is celebrated in over forty countries around the world. In India, it is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. Mother’s Day was established by a peace activist called Anna Jarvis on her mother’s memorial. This day was designed as a symbol of peace during the late 80’s and was declared an official holiday in 1911.

Mother’s Day is the day when we children take all the burdens off our mother’s shoulders and try to make her feel as relaxed as possible. We let her know how much she is loved and cherished by us. It is the day for showing our gratefulness for having her in our lives and that she means the world to us. People have various ways of showing their affection for their mothers. Some shower their mothers with presents and cards, some take their mothers out to dinner, while some throw a party.

The highlight of Mother’s Day is undoubtedly relieving mothers from their daily chores so that they can enjoy their day as they please. Mothers Day is indisputably essential; it serves as a reminder of how important our mothers are in our life. Even so, there are people out there who neglect their mothers and ill-treat them. Their lack of respect for their mothers is everything against what Mother’s Day stands for. But, this day should not be the only day we celebrate having them in our life.

Every day should be considered Mother’s Day, and we should appreciate the work, effort, and sacrifice our mothers put for our growth, development, and well being. People should love and cherish every moment with their mothers because it might be too late to realize how precious and valuable they are in their lives.
