Manipal MET 2021 Exam Pattern for various courses shall be published on the University website. Manipal University administers the entrance exam of MET once in a year to provide admission into various programmes at the university and its affiliated institutions based on score/rank achieved in MET. The entire information related to MU OET Exam Pattern 2021 is furnished in this article.

Manipal MET 2021 Exam Pattern

MU OET 2021 Exam Pattern varies according to the courses provided by the university. Candidates are suggested to analyse the complete exam pattern before beginning the preparation. The exam pattern for some streams considering the previous year’s trend are briefed in the below section:

For B.B.A Programme

  • The exam is supervised via online CBT mode
  • The exam paper contains multiple-choice questions split into five sections, namely Conceptual, numeracy, General awareness, General English and Case study.
  • The total time duration for exam completion is 2 hours
  • The question paper is composed of 100 questions, out of which 20 questions are taken from Numeracy, General awareness and General English, 25 questions come under Conceptual and 15 questions are from Case study.

For B.Tech Programme

  • The exam is supervised via online CBT mode.
  • The exam paper contains multiple-choice questions from Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and General Aptitude.
  • The total time duration for exam completion is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • The questions paper is composed of 200 questions out of which 50 questions are taken from Physics, 50 questions from chemistry section, 70 questions are from Mathematics, and 30 questions are from General Aptitude.

For M.Tech Programme

  • The exam is supervised via online CBT mode.
  • The exam paper contains multiple-choice questions from relevant topics of the respective discipline chosen by the candidate, and in addition, questions from engineering mathematics shall also be included.
  • The total time duration for exam completion is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • The questions paper is composed of 60 questions out of which 50 questions are taken from the discipline chosen by the candidates, and 10 questions are from engineering mathematics.

Manipal MET 2021 Marking Scheme

Candidates seeking admission into various programmes must check the MU OET 2021 marking scheme:

  • There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers except in ME/M.Tech exam where 1 mark is reduced for every incorrect answer.
  • 4 marks shall be provided for every correct response in ME/M.Tech exam.
  • Negative marking is not applied in any other entrance tests other than ME/M.Tech.
  • A candidate’s score is estimated according to the number of correct responses made without any mark reduction for wrong responses.
