All textbooks act as a guide for students to understand and follow conceptual matters. Likewise, NCERT textbooks provide a detailed understanding of concepts right from basics to the required depth of the topic. The application of these concepts needs a different kind of approach to be taught to students. This is where the need for NCERT Exemplar books came by. These exemplar books provide ample examples and illustrations required to understand a concept thoroughly. In addition, they offer plenty of solved problems to present how a concept can be applied in different situations.
Importance of NCERT Exemplar Books
In-depth subject knowledge – Every concept needs to be understood theoretically and applied practically. But to be able to solve problems using the theoretical knowledge gained, it needs an in-depth understanding. NCERT has given ample scope to provide detailed coverage to every topic based on the level of education concerned.
Quality of learning shall improve – Through exemplar books, the level of clarity in understanding the different topics, the similarities and the differences in them, the interconnection between various topics etc. becomes relevant and easy to understand. This way, students can improve their learning quality and not depend on too many sources to clear doubts, if need be.
Speeds up learning process – Information presented in NCERT exemplar books allow a straight forward and clear cut way of understanding. The presentation of data consists of content that is a necessary, relevant and greater focus on those aspects that matter most. Hence it’s a clear choice of what is exactly required to be studied by students at that particular level.
Extensive coverage of each topic – Be it simple problems or complex ones, students can solve them confidently only when they know the subject in detail. The depth of each topic matters most.
Application of concepts – Theory understanding does not make students ready to solve any problem their way. They need to be taught suitable methods to solve them in the correct way. This has been researched upon and facilitated carefully in NCERT books. Methodologies teaching students step-wise representations and logical methods of solving are provided too.
Adds as aids to teachers as well – Not just students but teachers also benefit greatly from NCERT exemplar books! It is because of the existence of these books that teachers are able to explain to students in a manner they understand and comprehend with. Teachers can extract lots of important tips and tricks to make the students learning smooth and interesting.
A big boon for competitive exams – This exemplar book is based mainly on CBSE syllabus, but it doubles up as the essential reference book for many competitive exam preparations like NEET / JEE Mains/ JEE Advanced to name a few. Students can gain a lot of benefit for national level entrance exams too, as the variety of questions is unbeatable.
