Education not only helps us to read, write, and acquire knowledge, but it also helps us to understand, analyze, and perceive any situations from a more experienced and robust point of view. It also helps us look beyond meaningless practices, superstitions, prejudices, and helps us to become better individuals. We must promote education for everyone, irrespective of their social or financial conditions. If we are aware of people, who for some reason, are not being able to avail education, we should try to make schools open to them. As a society, we should educate ourselves, as well as the ones around us. It is essential to know that it is only through education that the community can improve and progress.

Education can be commonly defined as the process of imparting knowledge by systematically enabling learning of skills, values, beliefs, and habits through methods like training, teaching, discussions, and even storytelling. Education is a key part of our society. It plays a preeminent role in the development and progress of society. Learning does not necessarily have to be confined within the four walls of your classroom. One can attain education from many countless means. Education can be conventional as well as non-conventional.

Education helps human beings personally as well in a more social context. Personally, Education helps us see through gaps, biases, superstitions. However, it is unfortunate to see that a lot of young people, in various parts of the world are deprived of education. Many children are forced to discontinue their schooling and start working at a very young age because of financial reasons. Thus it is essential that we as a part of the society, as well as the government, both try unanimously to promote education for all and ensure that everyone gets a proper education because, without education for everyone, we as a society or a country can never progress.

Long Paragraph on Education – 500 Words

Swami Vivekananda had rightly described education as “the manifestation of perfection present already in man”. Education is a quintessential part of our society, and it is the only way in which we can ensure the growth and development of our community. It is a highly essential part of our life which we all should consider as our top priority and channelise most of our attention to. It is the doorway to success and plays a significant role in our life.

How does education help us as individuals?

Education is the key to success in one’s life. It illuminates our minds. Education imparts knowledge to us. It teaches us to read, write, think, analyze and develops our perception. Coaching facilitates the process of learning, which is of utmost importance, both in an academic as well as non-academic parlance. It also helps us grow, progress, and develop as human beings.

It shapes our personalities, our characters, our thoughts, and beliefs the way we deal with other human beings. It teaches us to become logical, rational beings who are responsible in society. Education breaks the shackles of meaningless biases and age-old traditions. The questioning spirit that it nurtures helps us challenge superstitions and social evils. With stories of revolutionaries, it inspires us to take a stand and bring a change.

How does education help us as a society?

Education has, time and again played a huge role in society. Educated men have brought reforms in the world. Whether it is the Renaissance brought forward by men like Copernicus and Galileo or the Social Reforms in India brought forward by Raja Ram Mohan Roy and Dayanand Saraswati, none of these would have ever been possible without education.

Education teaches us and inspires us to stand against the customs and traditions and challenge them. Knowledge helps society to grow and progress. Schools open up new avenues for inventions and discoveries. Without education, human beings would be no better than animals. Education is what has set the human society so apart from an animal society.

How should we promote education?

Though education is so important for our society, it is regrettable to note that many people in our community are not educated. Most of these people do not get an education due to a lack of resources. Many young children aren’t able to study or have to drop out of school because of financial issues. In rural parts of many countries, caste and gender stand as an obstacle in the path of education. Even though there have been many provisions such as mid-day meals, yet the government has not been able to bring everyone to getting themselves educated.

This often happens because of a cycle of illiteracy that exists in the lower niches of society where uneducated people do not understand the value of education. Thus they do not consider it as something necessary for their children. As educated individuals, it becomes our responsibility to make these people aware of the need for education and lead them into the path that we follow.

Conclusion

Most of our social reformists and great leaders had focused and emphasized on the need for education, and we believe that it is the need of the hour for the growth and development of our society. If the needful is not done, most of the entire community will fall prey to the hands of illiteracy and cease the growth and development of our country.
