Short Paragraph on Summer Vacation – 150 Words

Summer vacation is a break from the regular routine, and there are no kids who don’t wait in anticipation for this time of the year. Summer vacation usually starts after the exams, around early or mid-may and continues for almost a month. Students eagerly wait for the final bell to ring so that they can rush out and be free from school for a whole month. There are loads of stuff kids do during summer vacation. They play, they find new hobbies like dancing, painting, singing, and they go on trips with their families.

But summer vacation is not all about fun, and teachers don’t forget to assign vacation homework so that students don’t wholly become detached from studying. Some students finish their homework within the first few days, and some keep it for the last minute. Either way, summer vacation is a period of enjoyment for all. With the last day of summer vacation, students feel a bit morose but also feel excited to go and tell their school friends about all the fun they had during the holidays.

Paragraph on Summer Vacation – 300 Words

Summer vacation, the holiday every student waits for, comes around May or mid-May and continues for about fifteen days to a month. Students wait for the final bell to ring so that they can rush out and finally, leave the burden of going to classes for a whole month. They go home, leave their backpacks and don’t even want to think about touching their books. But sadly, teachers always assign vacation homework, so there is no choice but to study a little during the vacation.

There are plenty of things to do during summer vacation, starting with playing video games to taking up new hobbies like dancing, painting, singing, and poetry. Reading books is also a good habit which needs to be cultivated. It helps to gain knowledge and to strengthen vocabulary.

Summer is a boiling time—some people like going out while others like staying inside. But there is a lot of stuff to do during the summer if people go out. Families often go on trips to somewhere cool like the mountains or somewhere windy like the beach. Parents also send their kids to summer camps for gaining knowledge about specific subjects and also to have fun and socialise. New relationships are cultivated that way, and it helps to broaden their horizons.

Before they know it, the last day of the summer vacation rolls in. It will be a lie if it is said that students don’t feel a tiny bit excited to go to school. They do because at school waits for their class full of friends who they can exchange their fun summer stories with.

Long Paragraph on Summer Vacation – 500 Words

Summer, the hottest time of the year, comes with some perks, especially for students. After the conclusion of examinations, schools start closing one by one generally during mid-May and reopen on about the first or second week of June. This period is known as summer vacation. Not only school but this time of the year is anticipated by college going students as well.

Students get a whole month of freedom from their regular routines. But although they would much rather keep all their school books locked away in some closet and never look at them again; schools almost always assign them with vacation homework. Besides that, everything is as bright, and rainbow coloured as it can get.

Things to do during summer vacation

It isn’t a vacation without fun, and for school students, fun is written in their DNA. Students do all kinds of stuff during summer vacation. Some like going out while some like staying inside their room, some go to the mall with their friends and hang out, some catch up with their old hobbies while some take up new ones, like art, dance, singing, drama, and poetry.

Students also read during their vacation as it helps in gaining more knowledge and building better concentration. Parents also take their kids on trips to cool places like mountains or seasides. Trips do a lot of good to children as they feel refreshed and have a clear mind after they come back from their trip. Parents also send their kids on summer camps which are a really efficient way of learning new things.

Summer Camps

Summer camps benefit a child in many ways. The advantages of summer camps can be summed up as follows-

  • It helps to build confidence in a child. Self-confidence is a much necessary aspect of a strong character.
  • It helps to give the child a sense of independence. They learn how to not depend on others for trivial stuff.
  • They help in practical problem solving and adapting to different situations.
  • They also help to build new interests.
  • Some of the workshops that summer camps conduct include cooking, pottery, poetry, gardening, and art.
  • Summer camps help in socialising and building new relationships.

A child who attends a summer camp comes back with a more energetic personality, and it shows in everyday life. Summer camps are not just about work, but also about a lot of fun. Children make new memories with people their age, and they have a lot of new stories to tell when they get back to school.

Conclusion

However, not all can enjoy their summer vacation. Some students have examinations right after their school reopens, and so they opt for summer classes and cram schools to help them prepare for their exams. In the blink of an eye, summer vacation starts coming to an end, and the day to go back to school rapidly approaches.

It is a bit sad for students to think about going back. Still, there is also a sense of excitement of meeting their classmates and narrating all that has happened during their holidays.
