Televisions allow private and government-owned channels to broadcast a plethora of programmes on different channels. Channels can be grouped based on their purpose- there are entertainment channels, kids channels, news channels, movie channels, regional language channels, music channels, to name a few. Televisions serve as the quickest mode of relaying information to the masses. Due to their ability to serve audiences entertainment as well as information, televisions are one of the most widely used devices of mass communication.
