Trees are known to be man’s best friends as they supply the most vital gas called oxygen for our survival. They are crucial for our ecosystem to remain healthy. There are several benefits which trees offer to humans and animals. During the process of photosynthesis, trees and plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. This process saves the earth from global warming as CO2 is responsible for the greenhouse gas effect and traps maximum heat of the sun. Later this heat leads to melting of icecaps and rising of ocean levels.

Since ancient times, trees like Neem, Mango, Tulsi and Ashok were worshipped by our ancestors. They were forbidden to cut and were planted more and more. Like human beings and animals’ trees are also living beings because they breathe and grow. The only difference is trees inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen. It is a known fact that carbon-dioxide is considered to be one of the greenhouse gases which traps the heat coming from the sun, thus causing global warming at a massive scale.
