Eligibility Criteria for Punjab Scholarship 2022
Each scholarship awarded by the Punjab state government comes with its own set of eligibility criteria and conditions. The set conditions are exclusive and binding to each scholarship. Punjab Scholarship Rewards & Benefits
The Punjab state government offers two kinds of scholarships for students – fee waivers and cash rewards for meritorious students. The cash reward shall be credited to the account of the beneficiary through a method of direct benefit transfer. Below we have provided award details of Punjab Scholarship
Post Matric Scholarship for SC students
- INR 1200(per month) for students staying in hostels
- INR 550(per month) for students studying in day schools and colleges
- INR 1600 (per annum) as study tour charges
- Waiver of non-refundable fee.
- INR 1600 allowance for research students for preparation of thesis reports
- INR 1200(per annum) for purchasing books, only for distance courses.
Pre Matric Scholarship for SC students
- INR 350(per month) for students staying in hostels
- INR 150(per month) for students studying in day schools
- INR 750(per annum) as book allowance for students studying in day schools and INR 1000 (per annum) for hostel dwellers.
- For students with disabilities, suitable extra scholarship amount shall be provided.
Post Matric Scholarship for OBC students
- INR 750 (per month) for students staying in hostels
- INR 350 (per month) for students studying in day schools and colleges
- INR 175 for visually challenged students
- INR 900 (per annum) as study tour charges
- Waiver of non-refundable fee.
- INR 1000 allowance for research students for preparation of thesis reports
Pre Matric Scholarship for OBC students
- For students from class 1 to 5 – INR 25 (per month)
- For students from class 6 to 8 – INR 40 (per month)
- For students from class 9 and 10 – INR 50 (per month)
- Additional grant(ad-hoc grant) – INR 500 (per annum per candidate)
Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme
- Students whose score is between 60% to 70% in class 10 – fee waiver up to 70%
- Students whose score is between 70% to 80% in class 10 – fee waiver up to 80%
- Students whose score is between 80% to 90% in class 10 – fee waiver up to 90%
- Students whose score is between 90% to 100% in class 10 – fee waiver up to 100%
Pre Matric Scholarship for minority classes
- INR 600 (per month) for hostel residents from class 6th to 10th
- INR 100 (per month) for students studying in day schools
- Grant of admission fee – INR 500 (per annum) from class 6th to 10th
- Grant of tuition fee – INR 350 (per month) from class 6th to 10th
Post Matric Scholarship for minority classes
- Grant of both admission and tuition fee of up to INR 10,000 (per annum)
- INR 1200 (per month) for students staying in hostels
- INR 550 (for 10 months) for students studying in day schools and colleges
Merit cum means scholarship for minority classes only
- INR 1000 (per month) for students staying in hostels
- INR 500 (for 10 months) for students studying in day schools and colleges
- Course fee waiver – INR 20,000 (per annum) for students studying in day schools/colleges and/or staying in hostels
