RPF Constable 2019 Eligibility Criteria
- The interested candidate must be a citizen of India or subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- They may be a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, for permanently settled in India or they may migrate from any of the following countries for indelibly settling in India: Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Ethiopia and Vietnam.
The interested candidates should have a matriculation certificate from a recognised Board for Constable (Executive) shall only be valid.
The candidates with awaiting results of the final examination of the prescribed educational qualification should not be allowed for the examination. Those have done professional or technical qualification are eligible for RPF exam as well.
Eligibility Criteria as per Age
The minimum age of the interested candidates should be 18 years and maximum should be 25 years. The candidates above or below the prescribed age are not eligible for the exam.
Upper Age Relaxation
For SC/ST (Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe) candidates, the age for relaxation is 5 years and for OBC (Other Backward Class) Non-Creamy Layer is 3 years.
RPF Admit Card 2019
The admit card for the RPF exam will be issued through the official website of the Railway Protection Force. This admits card will have all the details about the examination like the examination date, timing of the exam, and the venue.
The eligible candidates will not be endowed to take part I the examination without the admit card. The steps that they need to follow for downloading RPF exam admit card, include the following:
- Go to the official website of RPS i.e. rpfonlinereg.co.in
- Look at the option having an RPF 2018 Admit Card Notification
- Then, click on Notification icon and familiarise yourself with the instructions given over there
- Once done this, enter the registration details such as name, Aadhar number, date of birth (DOB), etc. and select on okay or submit button. Once approved, you will find your admit card displayed over your desktop
Make sure to print it as hard copy is required while entering into the classroom. Moreover, save this admit card for future references.
RPF Application Form
The application form to attempt the RPS exam 2019 is available on the official web portal of RPS. It is mandatory to fill out the application form, else no admit card is offered in the future. The interested candidates can follow these steps to download the Railway Protection Service application form.
- Visit the Official Website of RPS i.e. rpfonlinereg.co.in
- The application form will open once select the ‘apply’ link.
- The candidates will need to fill up all the details in the application form.
- Once done with all the details in the application form, candidates will have to pay the application fee, which is mandatory as per category, else the application will be rejected.
- The application fee can be paid by way of the credit card, debit card, net banking or challan.

RPF Constable Exam Pattern 2019
The exam pattern for PF for three subjects is tabulated below:

It should be noted that the interested candidates have chosen to select any of the languages for their Computer Based Test- Manipuri, Kannada, Malayalam, Konkani, Assamese, Punjabi, Bengali, English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, and Marathi. In addition, all the questions that will come in the exam will be objective type.
The maximum marks contain by this exam will be 120. Furthermore, the students need to aware that this exam will contain the negative marking. 1/3 marks will be cut for every wrong answer given by the candidates.
RPF Physical Efficiency Test 2019
Only those candidates will consider going for the Physical Efficiency Test that would have passed the Computer-based test. Let’s have a look at the below-mentioned table to know about the prescribed limit for the particular test.

RPF Medical Examination Constable exam 2019
The candidates who have qualified the PET (Physical Efficiency Test) will become eligible for the Medical examination at a Railway Hospital. During this test, the candidates need to qualify for Medical category ‘B-I’ as per the guidelines are given by the Indian Railway Medical Manual.
It should be noted that the candidates wearing spectacles or have any bodily defects such as a squint eye, color blindness, knock knee, etc. are not eligible for the medical exam of the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
Moreover, the candidates who are mentally fit will be sent to the training centers that are run by the railway administration. At the time of training, these candidates will be given a stipend and allowances as railway rules. It should be noted that this level is significant for the candidates, else they will not be able to become RPF officers.
Railway Protection Force exam syllabus
The basics that will ask is General Awareness which will test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment, knowledge of current events, knowledge of Indian History, Art & Culture, Indian Constitution, Sports, Geography, Economics, General Polity, General Science, etc.
The next one will be Arithmetic that will contain questions on fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, Number systems, whole numbers, decimal and fractions and relationships between numbers, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of table and graphs, ratio and proportion etc.
General Intelligence & reasoning will be asked that will have the questions on, similarities and differences, spatial visualisation, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, spatial orientation, problem-solving analysis, judgement, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc.
