TANCET Eligibility 2023
The TANCET 2023 application form must be filled to appear for the test, provided the TANCET Eligibility Criteria 2023 is fulfilled. It is recommended for the candidates to check the eligibility requirements twice to know whether they are eligible to apply or not. Only those who meet the eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for TANCET. In the below section, specifications related to the eligibility criteria for various courses are enlisted:
Qualification Eligibility
For MBA (Master of Business Administration)
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree of three-year duration from any sanctioned college.
- The qualifying exam must be cleared in the pattern 10+2+3/4 years Or 10+3 years diploma +3 years Or BE, B.Tech, B.Arch & B. Pharm Or 10+2+AMIE* Or 10+3 years diploma regulated by the State Board of Technical Education + AMIE.*
- Percentage Criteria: 50% aggregate score is required, and 45% for reserved category candidates.
For MCA (Master of Computer Application)
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree of three-year duration from any acknowledged college.
- Subject: Candidates must have studied Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level curriculum.
- The qualifying exam must be cleared in the pattern 10+2+3/4 years Or 10+3 years diploma +3 years Or 10+2+AMIE* Or 10+3 years diploma regulated by the State Board of Technical Education + AMIE.*
- Percentage Criteria: 50% aggregate score is required, and 45% for reserved category candidates.
For MCA (Lateral Entry)
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree of three-year duration in BCA, B.Sc. (Information Technology/Computer Science) from any acknowledged college.
- Subjects: Candidates must have studied Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level curriculum.
- Percentage Criteria: 50% aggregate score is required, and 45% for reserved category candidates.
For ME, M.Tech, M. Plan & M.Arch
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates must hold a sanctioned bachelor’s degree in the associated field.
Candidates must hold a BE/B.Tech/ B.Arch Or B.Pharma Or Master’s Degree in the associated branch of Science / Arts Or 10+2+AMIE* or 10+3-year diploma regulated by the State Board of Technical Education + AMIE.* - Percentage Criteria: 50% aggregate score is required, and 45% for reserved category candidates.
- GATE Category: Candidates holding a valid GATE 2019, GATE 2020 or GATE 2021 scorecard with a requisite score shall be eligible for an assistant-ship in the associated discipline of Engineering /Technology, and they need not attempt TANCET 2021 exam.
- TANCET Category: Candidates holding a valid GATE 2019, GATE 2020 or GATE 2021 score with a requisite score shall be eligible for an assistant-ship in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL), and these candidates have to sit for the TANCET 2021 exam also.
Other Eligibility
- Candidates currently pursuing their final semester/ year of the qualifying exam (except AMIE) commencing in April/May 2023 can also apply.
- Candidates from other states can apply for the test, but the allotted university shall formulate the eligibility requirements.
- BE/B.Tech degree completed through distance/weekend mode shall not be taken into consideration.
- Candidates holding a qualified degree without clearing 10th, 12th or 3-year degree courses cannot apply.
- Only the candidates who have completed BE, B.Tech & MCA degree programme are eligible, and those who pursued degree course through lateral entry cannot apply.
