We have provided Time and Tide Wait for None Essay in English, suitable class 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10.

Time is certainly the most abstract and influential force in this world. Once lost, it cannot come back. Even the most powerful and strongest wizards have failed to command time. Time has its hold on every single thing we can imagine in our world. Such is the importance of time. Therefore we must be careful about how we choose to utilize our time.

Life will be meaningful if we get to make the best use of time. Often we regret and complain about a missed chance. However, these rare moments come and go, and some people are careless enough to miss them. They lag and fail to reach great heights. Throughout our lives, we have all heard the idiom-Time and Tide Wait for None.

Have you ever closely analyzed the true meaning behind this proverb? The literal explanation of this proverb is that like a tide, time also does not wait for anyone or anything. It is a natural phenomenon that goes on passing. Time and tide both represent the significance of an opportunity. We cannot predict its occurrence or recurrence. It is short-lived and knocks our doors without any prior notice.

To grab the most out of an opportunity, you need to seize it when you can. Time and tide do not care about your sentiments. They are immune to your loss and gain. This proverb teaches us a lot of things. One of the lessons includes punctuality. You should complete your task within the due frame of time. Without postponing it, make sure to plan. Taking decisions earlier to the execution part helps you manage your work diligently. Being indecisive can hamper your progress.

Time has been beautifully portrayed in literature. There are many instances to prove this. Every other story that we read in our English books starts with “Once upon a time”. As the story unfolds, we learn how time gradually passes, how it becomes constant, and how it completely stops for the characters.

Shakespeare has very aptly justified the role of time in his play “King Lear”. The main character King Lear goes through a massive change with the progressing time. At the beginning of the plot, he asks his three daughters to express their love for him.

The two elder daughters turn out to be corrupt and ultimately fail the test of time. The youngest daughter Cordelia gets wrongfully banished from the kingdom only to reunite with her father after ages. By the time Lear realizes his mistake, Cordelia gets killed by a tyrant prince. Time never waits for them, and Lear regrets it in the end. Thus Lear dies out of sorrow to have failed his daughter. This makes us wonder how precious each second is.

Time is equivalent to money. You can earn all the money as you move ahead in your life. However, you cannot buy extra time with that wealth. There is no denying the power of time. For example, if a doctor reaches the operation theatre a few minutes late, the patient is at the risk of dying. If you are a student who has prepared a lot for your upcoming exams but you are late when you reach on the day of the exam, you will fail. A farmer has to sow the seeds when it is the right time of the season. If he doesn’t, he won’t have any crops to harvest. Thus, time management plays a key role in all aspects of life.

Indeed there are no retakes in life. In the 24 hours that we get in a day, every second count. Time is the best and cruellest teacher. Beyond that time also has the power to heal. It is like a waterfall- continuously streaming without ever stopping. This proverb encourages us to use our time in positive and creative pursuits. We must spend each day as if it is our last. That way, no one can stop us from achieving greater heights.
