A very good evening to the beautiful Ladies. Wish you all A Happy International Women’s Day.
So we are here to celebrate a day for those beautiful ladies of our life who makes has already marked our life with different roles let it be of a mother, sister, wife, aunt or grandma. It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, political & cultural achievements of a woman. It is celebrated on the 8th of March every year with the first gathering dated back to 1911.
I am glad to address all of you today who has undoubtedly contributed their part to our society. It is all of our responsibility to ensure gender equality, as all of us know that an equal world is an enabled world. In the past, there was a time in which women’s were deprived of their basic fundamental rights as in the right to vote, education, economic independence, etc.
They were thought to be made for household chores only. But with the passing time, the society has seen many changes & revolutions. This generation has started recognising the capabilities, trust & values they can add to all our lives as well as to society. Now women have not only started stepping out of homes to show their abilities but day by day, they are setting examples & making the world turn head towards them.
Let it be astronomy, sports, administrative services, science & technology, teaching, entertainment or entrepreneurship, females have imprinted their names with flying colours in every sector. Chanda Kocchar is one of the most inspiring women leaders who is the Managing director & CEO of ICICI bank is the youngest CEO & first women to head ICICI. All of you must have heard about Indira Nooyi who was listed among the first 100 powerful women of the world.
She is an Indian Business executive & former CEO of PepsiCo. Now let us move to sports, the list of names are long Sania Mirza, Saina Nehwal, Hima Das, Dyuti Chand & so on. In every field, women have set a benchmark. They are always an inspiration for all of us. Women empowerment & girl education are the two basic steps which are driven by the United Nations on a global scale.
Focus on reduction in violence & crimes against women are also a key subject of discussion everywhere. Many steps have been taken by the UN as well as our government for the same. However, the world starts with “I”. So let us rise up & keep us activated to transform the world around us. We all can help ourselves by investing in solutions, strengthening leadership, and building movements.
Let us recognise the significance of women & inspire them to be self-sufficient as they can also contribute to the world. I want to end my speech a beautiful quote by Michele Obama. “There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.”
Thank You.

“She believed she could & she did.”
Good morning to everyone present over here, very Happy International Women’s Day to all the ladies out there. On this particular occasion of women’s day, celebrated on the 8th of March every year, I am glad that I got the chance to express my views in front of all of you.
The quote which I started with shows how much power women carries with them. They are equally capable of participating, performing & proving that this society, country & the world needs them. Although the women have fought several fights for their fundamental writes, the scenario is changed today.
It must be noted that all the problems are not sorted yet; still, we are fighting against rape, domestic violence, girls dropout, healthcare facilities, unequal pay & many more issues like this. Although now women have all the fundamental rights to learn, work & live as they want but somewhere we have failed miserably to reach the par of those goals.
Instead of the hardships, women have not stopped surprising us by their knowledge & talents in all the fields. They have proved all of us that they can turn down every odd & can contribute with full responsibility back to society. They have begun realising their ability & strength. Society will be better will every single girl getting the education as they are the first teacher to all the child.
The modern women are no more dependent on men. Nowadays, a woman is independent, confident in every aspect. They are making a difference to the world around them. It is all of our responsibility to inspire every woman out there to take a step forward & to live the life she always wanted. It is essential to respect all the women & give them equal importance.
I congratulate all the women out there who are successful in creating an identity for them in this male-dominated society & I urge all of you to support the women for their development whenever it is possible.
Thank You.
Have a wonderful day.
