World Television Day 2021

November 21 is officially recognized by the United Nations as World Television Day. In the 20th century, technology-driven transformations took up centre stage in the whole world. Communication saw a completely new revolution and the media industry became more potent by the day. The invention of television became more prominently recognized after every household bought a television for their entertainment.

On December 17 1996, the UN passed a resolution to celebrate November 21 annually as World Television Day. A 21-year-old young boy called Philo Taylor Farnsworth invented the television in 1927, and this day is a beautiful dedication to his invention. The year is also very significant in history as the world saw a unique platform where the first television forum was staged at the global level.
